Bourbonberry Apple Cobbler

Here is a treat that you'll love. It makes about 8-10 servings, so save up for a few more nights or treat your neighbors and be the hit of the RV park.

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 can apple pie filling
1 can pie sliced apples
3/4 cup apple or cranberry juice
1/4 cup bourbon
1 tube of 8 to 10 butter biscuits
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon

This bubbles as it cooks so choose a deep casserole that will hold about two quarts. Grease the casserole. Set the oven for 375 degrees. Using a fork, coarsely mash cranberries in the casserole. Add apples and pie filling. Pour juice and bourbon over all and bake 10-15 minutes or until fruit is hot. Remove from oven, arrange biscuits on top and sprinkle with a mixture of the sugar and cinnamon. Bake another 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Spoon onto plates and serve warm. Makes 8 to 10 servings. Add whipped topping or ice cream if you like. Cook’s note: For bourbon you may substitute a scant cup of fruit juice and 2 teaspoons brandy or rum flavoring.

Looks like a great recipe but I'll make my own topping. Thanks! I appreciate the easy recipes you give rv-ers. Mary
