Another Janet Groene Recipe

Janet Groene’s
Italian Broccoli
10-ounce package cut broccoli
1/3 cup pignoli (pine nuts)
1/4 stick butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
Salt, pepper
    Thaw broccoli and drain it well. In a hot skillet, shake pine nuts over high heat until they turn light gold. Set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter with olive oil and sizzle garlic, gradually stirring in broccoli until it’s crisp-tender. Stir in pignoli, season to taste and serve. Makes 4 side dish servings.
